It is better to Give than to Receive

Greetings and Welcome everyone to the Rhodes House Kitchen Creations blog! Today one of the things I'm going to talk about drawing people to your blog and gaining readership. Being a new blog with a few followers, that's fine. As you know, it is better to give than to receive.  Jesus' motive was to give with expecting nothing in return except for loyalty of those who are truly His. We know in the temporal world we can't ultimately rely on the things of this earth to satisfy. And what we put our efforts in ultimately will show up at the end in what we get. Do we strive after the things that will burn up like wood, hay and stubble? Will we get ultimate satisfaction in things that the moths eat and rust destroys? Will we get to take our material things with us in the end? Let us ponder these things as we live our lives and see where our motivations lie. If we take time to be still and not just do, go and try to please the masses, we may be able to hear that still small voice that prompts those who have ears to hear in the path we should go. Each day has it's decisions minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day and year by year. Will we be the better or worse now that we were 5 or 10 years from today? And if so, by whose standards do we measure? Will we make a difference in this world and will we be the thermostats or the thermometers? Hmmmmmm....food for thought.
